I came to Karl from a different driving instructor and found him to be a great help with my driving. His calm and clear instructions paired with his sense of humour got me through my test. I can’t thank him enough. Would definitely recommend him to everyone, especially those lacking in confidence:)

Didn't take me long to pass, a patient and understanding instructor. Lessons were relevant and was able to learn quickly with Karl. Would strongly recommend.

Great driving lessons at a competitive cost. Karl is always a great chat too. I started learning with Karl before leaving for university in 2015 and when I came back after my 3 years away in September 2018 i was super rusty so I decided to begin learning with him again, Karl had me passed by the start of February. Karl’s Astra is always in tip top condition and is a great size car to learn in. I’d have no issues in recommending Karl to anyone in the area looking to learn how to drive.

Had a great time learning to drive with Karl Woods, he’s very enthusiastic towards wanting you to succeed and it is very effective at improving your driving ability in a short space of time. I think it was very worth my money with the hospitality I received and would definitely recommend him to people wanting to learn to drive.

Excellent choice for learner drivers

Karl is an extremely friendly, chatty guy which makes learning to drive that much easier. Mistakes are met with constructive concern, rather than anger, helping to build better confidence with tricky things such as manoeuvres. Karl will push you to improve and won’t just keep you in your comfort zone. After getting nowhere with a previous instructor, switching to Karl Wood and passing my test first time was the best decision I made with my driving. I would recommend him to anyone looking for driving teaching.
